Job Description:

** JOB SUMMARY

* Work Shift:

** Mon - Thurs with weekly rotating shifts of 5:00 am - 3:00 pm or 9:00 am - 7:00 pm and includes occasional weekend coverage.
** This is an on-site position.
** The Triage Coordinator supports and assists radiology imaging within a busy work environment. This position has multiple service responsibilities including maintaining patient confidentiality at all times, patient registration, and answer/screening incoming telephone calls using proper telephone etiquette, locate, send and retrieve films for comparison and/or readings. The Triage Coordinator is an essential link in communication between radiology imaging and clinical imaging with internal and outside medical groups/facilities.
** JOB QUALIFICATIONS
**** EDUCATION
* ** For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.
*** Minimum

Required:

** High School graduate or equivalent required.
** Preferred/Optional:
** Post-high school courses in medical area such as health unit coordinator or medical office procedures preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology and body structure preferred.
** EXPERIENCE
* *** Minimum

Required:

** One to two years previous experience in a medical setting required. Computer keyboarding experience required.
** Preferred/Optional:
** Previous data entry experience preferred.
** CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
*** The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position.
