Job SummaryThe Occupational Therapist provides services for the purpose of promoting health and wellness and to those who have or are at risk for developing an illness, injury, disease, disorder, condition, impairment, disability, activity limitation, or participation restriction. The Occupational Therapist will select methods or strategies to direct the process of interventions, evaluate factors affecting activities of daily living and implements interventions and procedures to promote or enhance safety and performance in activities of daily living.
The Occupational Therapist performs in a manner consistent with Marshfield Clinic Health Systems’ mission, policies and initiatives while maintaining patient confidentiality at all times. The Marshfield Medical Center is a tertiary care center, Level II Adult and Pediatric Trauma center and a Primary Stroke Center. This position is in acute care, primarily working with general med/surg patients.

- Minimum
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy. - Preferred:
Master’s or Doctorate degree in occupational therapy.
- Minimum
Required:
Supervised clinical internship(s) working with adult and/or pediatric populations to prepare for professional registration. - Preferred:
None.
- Minimum
Required:
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire. - Occupational Therapist license awarded by the State of Wisconsin.
- Preferred:
Current certification through the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy. - Preferred:
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) at time of hire.
