Overview

The primary function of a Member Service Representative (MSR) is to provide a positive and friendly atmosphere for our members while conducting basic teller transactions. This position provides exceptional service by resolving problems and answering questions about the Credit Union’s products and services, and it includes sales through service to improve members’ financial lives. This role is part of the front-line Service Team and requires a positive, friendly image in interactions with members and co-workers.

This is a full-time position Monday–Friday during business hours at our Marshfield Branch.

Responsibilities
  • Provide basic teller services to members in person, in the drive-thru, night drop, and mail (cash checks, deposits/withdrawals, loan payments, transfers, PIN resets, share certificates, check re-orders, name changes, beneficiaries, debit cards, online banking setup and inquiries).
  • Seek opportunities to enhance the member experience by recognizing and presenting additional services to improve members’ financial lives, providing sales through service.
  • Process wire transfers, minor option changes, and open savers sweepstakes.
  • Process all transactions with a commitment to accuracy.
  • Promote collaboration and respectful communication across departments by upholding the company’s core values, vision, and mission.
Requirements
  • High school education or GED and 6 months to 2 years of customer service experience.
  • Ability to interpret and act upon a wide range of situations under pressure with concentration and accuracy.
  • Strong professionalism, friendliness, and representational ability for the credit union.
  • Calm, patient, service-oriented, and a team player with a willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Self-motivated with a desire to achieve goals and accept constructive feedback.
  • Ability to evolve with change and maintain engagement; ongoing commitment to learning.
