Overview
As a Calibration Technician, you will calibrate test, measurement and diagnostic equipment (TMDE). You will perform all aspects of the calibration process. You will work in a dynamic and high-tech testing facility based in our Marshalltown, Iowa location. You will work with team members to ensure that no tests are delayed due to measurement equipment being unavailable. Responsibilities- Perform calibrations traceable to appropriate reference standards. The scope of calibration includes pressure, temperature, power supply, signal generation and acquisition, dimensional, etc.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment and measurement systems to restore operability and accuracy. Work with equipment vendors to assist in root-cause determination. Coordinate repairs/replacements as necessary.
- Write, review and update automated calibration procedures using Fluke MET/TEAM & MET/CAL software. This will include electronic communication interfaces that control automated mechanical and electronic measurement equipment.
- Interface frequently with calibration vendors. Determine their capabilities. Coordinate calibration of equipment that is performed externally.
- Coordinate with multiple internal departments, including the manufacturing facility, to provide calibration services to support research and development testing.
- Develop an overall understanding of how specific equipment is used and the functions our operations require. Grow/Evolve into equipment calibration subject matter expert.
- Interface with the Quality Assurance department and understand the company Quality Manual as it relates to calibration as well as represent the organization during internal and external audits.

For This Role, You Will Need- Attention to detail and thorough documentation skills.
- Skills in mathematics, statistics and logical analysis.
- Experience with computers, software and basic programming.
- Good communication skills (both verbal and written) and the ability to work alone or on a team are required.
- Possess good organization and prioritization skills.
- Strong self-motivation.
- An AAS or BS degree in Measurement/Calibration Technology or similar field of study, or equivalent Metrology/Calibration experience.
- MET/CAL Programming experience.
- Knowledge of measurement uncertainty and the ability to assist others in selecting the appropriate piece of equipment for a specific test is a plus.
- Skills or experience in equipment maintenance and repair.
