RN Position Job Notes:
Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM

• Full-time position providing care for ED, trauma, medical, critical care, and pediatric patients

• May be floated to other ED departments within the health system as needed

• Required certifications:
Current BLS (AHA only), ACLS (AHA only), PALS (AHA only), and TNCC certification

• RN License in state of TX or compact state required

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred

• 1 year of experience in related nursing specialty preferred

• Preferred experience includes moderate sedation competency, EPIC experience, and triage

• Must attend New Nurses Orientation within first 30 days of hire

• Precepted by designated trained staff member with competency validation requirements

• Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation

• Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for side-effects and effectiveness

• Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given

• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members and caregivers

• Complete all annual competency verification requirements
