JOB SUMMARY

The Dental Patient Coordinator provides dental office support to ensure patient satisfaction. This position schedules appointments, greets patients, answers general questions, and performs registration and check‑in/out functions. This position also maintains various patient records and databases of information, collects and posts payments, and provides assistance to the clinical supervisor.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Collects and posts payments; performs reconciliation at day’s end
  • Schedules/reschedules all patient appointments in person and by phone; confirms appointments with patients; performs patient registration process; downloads and scans patient documents
  • Answers phone calls and responds to inquiries related to patient concerns; refers, routes, and places calls and follow‑up calls; obtains additional patient information as directed
  • Greets and assists all patients and visitors; maintains a clean, professional and organized front office space; maintains patient lobby in excellent condition
  • Records and maintains clinic schedules in the department’s scheduling software
  • Provides assistance to faculty and residents
  • Performs other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School Diploma
  • One to three years of relevant work experience
COMPENSATION

Pay starts at $17.00 per hour depending on relevant experience
