The Registered Nurse will perform occupational health care activities, including health and wellness training and education, employee health services, and compliance.

In this position, you'll be licensed to practice in your state of employment or equivalent in other geographies.

Support OSHA-required record keeping.

Help determine what employees can do under restrictive duty, when they can return to work, and when to refer them to an outside medical provider.

Develop, formulate, and implement plans of care based on standing orders and medical directives.

Treat, evaluate, and assess employee illness or injury and determine medical direction.

Conduct safety and ergonomic training and administer drug and alcohol programs.

Using technical knowledge and training, assist in designing and executing employee health and wellness programs.

Other duties as assigned.

Handle basic issues and problems under direct supervision while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.

Zero years of related work experience.

Registered Nurse or equivalent in other geographies.

Schedule:

Monday - Friday 6am-2:30pm, with occasional weekends.

Assist employees in completion of the Employee Statement of Injury (Client), implement an employee plan of care, and document in the electronic medical record.

Initiate restricted work, reduced piece count, or the use of medications within the medical treatment algorithm.

Follow up on current cases and note progress, implement/maintain restricted duty program.

Review job bids for appropriate job transfer in relationship to work restrictions.

Ensure cases are recorded properly to the OSHA 300/CIRI with accurate nursing diagnosis when appropriate.

Make decisions concerning the ordering of supplies.

Review incoming mail and specifically review each physician's dictation and follow through with any recommendations.

Review and communicate all lost time cases. Ensure proper utilization of POA.

Proper utilization of the electronic medical record:

Ensure documents are scanned and linked to encounters properly.

Ensure follow-ups/assessments are documented timely.

Ensure surveillance testing is properly documented.

Complete tasks timely.

Update diagnosis when applicable.

Drug and alcohol testing per policy.

Assist with hearing conservation program, scheduling, paperwork, follow-up, testing, etc.

Perform respiratory medical clearance exams and/or pulmonary function testing as applicable.

Assist with delivery of vaccinations, scheduled (Hepatitis

B) or on demand (Tetanus).

Requirements:

Graduate of accredited nursing program with current active license (RN) to practice nursing in the state of Missouri.

Occupational health experience recommended but not required.

Interviews: 30-minute Teams interview
Onboarding: Background check required. Drug test is not required.
