Systems Administrator

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain the Microsoft Active Directory hybrid environment, including Group Policy Objects (GPOs), user and group accounts, and security permissions; install, configure, and manage Windows Server roles and services such as DNS, DHCP, IIS, and File Servers.
  • Perform regular server patching, updates, and maintenance to ensure system stability and security.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the Windows server environment.
Virtualization & Containerization
  • Administer and maintain the VMware virtualized infrastructure, including vSphere, vCenter, and ESXi hosts.
  • Deploy, configure, and manage virtual machines (VMs) and troubleshoot performance issues.
  • Administer and support the Red Hat Open Shift container platform.
  • Manage container life cycles, resource allocation, and security within the Open Shift environment.
Core Systems & Cross-Platform Support
  • Manage storage systems and perform regular backups to ensure data integrity and availability.
  • Provide basic administration and support for Unix/Linux operating systems.
  • Monitor system performance and resource utilization to proactively identify and resolve potential issues.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures.
Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Systems Administrator or in a similar role.

Technical Skills

  • Strong expertise in Microsoft Active Directory and Windows Server administration.
  • In-depth knowledge of VMware vSphere and related virtualization technologies.
  • Hands‑on experience with Red Hat Open Shift administration and container orchestration concepts.
  • Basic knowledge and experience with Unix/Linux command‑line administration.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages like Power Shell or Bash.

Certifications

  • Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, VMware Certified Professional (VCP), or Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) are highly desirable.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $55.00/hr.
