Job Overview:

This role is responsible for warehouse operation management, inventory accuracy, and logistics coordination, while supporting customs compliance for import materials and bonded/FTZ operations. The Warehouse Engineer works closely with Production Control, Logistics, and Customs Broker teams to ensure efficient material flow, compliant documentation, and on‑time support to production and outbound delivery.

Key Responsibilities :

Warehouse Operation & Inventory Control

  • Manage inbound, storage, outbound operations and ensure FIFO & safety compliance
  • Maintain warehouse layout optimization and material identification (labeling/barcode/RFID)
  • Track WMS/MES/SAP inventory accuracy and perform regular cycle count & root cause analysis
  • Support production and shipment priority alignment to meet delivery requirements

Customs Compliance & Documentation

  • Coordinate with customs brokers for import declarations and bonded operations
  • Manage and maintain customs-related documentation such as packing lists, CI, HS code info
  • Support compliance checks for sensitive items: UFLPA, Section 301/232, HS duty classification
  • Assist FTZ/Bonded warehouse operation reporting and inventory tracking

Process Optimization

  • Develop SOPs and KPI management for warehouse/FTZ compliance and cost efficiency
  • Support continuous improvement projects (safety upgrade, 5S)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Warehouse/Logistics/Supply Chain/Industrial Engineering or equivalent
  • 2+ years experience in warehouse operation in manufacturing (automotive/battery preferred)
  • Basic knowledge of import customs compliance and bonded/FTZ operations is required
  • Strong ERP/WMS experience (SAP preferred), proficient in Excel/data analysis
  • Good communication and problem‑solving skills; able to work cross‑functionally
  • English capability for documentation and customs broker coordination

Certificates & Preferred Skills

  • Familiar with U.S. customs regulations (CBP/ACE), HTS classification
  • Experience in bonded warehouse/FTZ filing, reconciliation, audits
  • APICS / Lean / Safety management related certification

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Regular, predictable on‑site attendance is an essential function of this role.
  • Ability to move throughout offices, manufacturing facilities, and construction areas, including walking, standing, bending, kneeling, and climbing stairs or ladders.
  • Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 25–50 pounds, with occasional heavier lifting as required.
  • Ability to work in varied environments, including offices, industrial, and construction settings.
  • Willingness to travel to other job sites as business needs require.
