The Home Depot is seeking a customer-focused Cashier to provide fast, friendly, accurate and safe service. Cashiers process Checkout and/or Return transactions, monitor the Self-Checkout area, and proactively seek product knowledge to assist customers and identify selling opportunities. They follow policies and procedures to minimize shrink. A Head Cashier may supervise and coach Front End Associates, expedite price checks, approve Point of Sale transactions and perform markdowns across registers, Self-Checkout, Returns, Pro Desk, Special Services, and Tool Rental.

The preferred qualification is 1+ years of Cashier experience.

• Process checkout, returns and related transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Monitor and maintain the Self-Checkout area and assist customers as needed.
• Provide product knowledge to customers and identify selling opportunities.
• Follow all policies and procedures to minimize shrink.
• Support supervision by expediting price checks, approving POS transactions and markdowns as required.
• Assist in coaching and training other Front End Associates and participate in training of new Cashiers.

• 1+ years of Cashier experience (preferred).
