Registered Nurse (RN), Observation Unit

Full-Time | 0.9 FTE | 12‑hour shifts | Nights

Sign‑on Bonus: $7,500 (based on meeting eligibility requirements).

• Perform plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
• Document patient care given.
• Work closely with providers to ensure patients meet observation criteria; monitor patients for 24‑48 hours to assess admission or discharge.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care—including transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support.
• Evaluate learning needs of patients and/or families and provide education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Advocate for the physical and emotional well‑being of patients.

Applicants must have a valid state of Michigan RN license and an associate degree from an accredited nursing school (bachelor's degree preferred).

• Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS‑HCP)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 1 year
