Acute Medical/Surgical Unit (6th Floor, Trauma Level II) - Assignment Type:
Locum Tenens (Travel RN Contract) - Start Date:
September 15, 2025 - End Date:
December 15, 2025 - Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), rotating weekends
- Hours per Week: 36 (Guaranteed hours)
- Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1800-$1840
- Patient Ratio: 5:1 to 6:1 (Adult and geriatric patients)

Cerner - Equipment:
Telemetry monitors, Baxter IV pumps, Kangaroo pump, Bladder scanner, Dynamaps - Dress Code:
Galaxy Blue or Navy scrubs
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
- Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in a medical/surgical unit
- Current ACLS certification
- Strong clinical skills, critical thinking, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Willingness to float to similar units as needed
- Compliance with hospital dress code and infection control policies
- Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in the med/surg unit
- Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions using Cerner EHR
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as prescribed
- Operate telemetry monitors and specialized medical equipment
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans
- Respond effectively in emergency and high-stress situations
- Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment
- Deliver compassionate support and patient education to individuals and families
