As an Occupational Therapist, you will provide occupational therapy evaluation and treatment of patients, including the development of a plan of care and ongoing treatment with patients through all phases of occupational therapy for a wide range of populations. This role requires ensuring every patient receives a unique experience through a comprehensive, thorough, and customized occupational therapy regimen with an emphasis on quality care in a friendly and encouraging environment.
Applicants are required to have experience in one or more of the following areas: pediatrics, mental health, geriatrics. The position may also require the clinical instruction of doctoral OT students and mentoring of undergraduate students participating in observation, volunteer work, or paid clinical work as rehabilitation aides in the clinic. While the position is as a Marquette University employee, the OT will be assigned to work at the Gerald L.
Ignace Indian Health Center – a federally funded community health center that serves an underserved, minority population. As such, the position requires frequent interaction and collaboration with the medical team and staff at the Gerald L. Ignace Indian Health Center.
Skills and Abilities
- A degree from an accredited occupational therapy program.
- Appropriate state licensure or willingness to obtain.
- Microsoft Office capability, ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong customer service skills; excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent presentation skills; strong team player.
- Commitment to University values.
- The ability to maintain friendly, cordial relations with all clients and employees; maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner that results in a positive work relationship with customers, co‑workers and managers.
