Surplus Lines Analyst

• Validate surplus lines tax calculations for accuracy and compliance with state regulations
• Prepare, file, and submit surplus lines tax filings and ensure compliance with jurisdictional requirements
• Serve as a primary point of contact for the surplus lines team and educate brokers on compliance
• Align delivery across project, product, and operational teams to ensure efficiency
• Maintain and update filings databases, ensuring data integrity for reporting and compliance

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or a related field, or equivalent experience in tax or financial services
• 2+ years of experience in tax or financial services, customer service, and data entry
• Demonstrated experience in a professional office setting
• Familiarity with insurance systems and surplus lines regulations is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Experience working with surplus lines regulations and compliance
• Proficiency in data management software and reporting tools
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to implement improvements in processes
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective internal and external collaboration
• Previous experience in a role involving customer service in the financial or insurance sector
