UPPER ELEMENTARY TEACHER 1.0 FTE
Deliver developmentally appropriate, differentiated instruction that supports the academic and social growth of elementary students. Collaborate with families and colleagues, use assessment data to inform instruction, and create an engaging, well‑managed classroom aligned to district curriculum, Multi‑Tiered System of Supports (MTSS), and Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) practices.
Qualifications- State of Michigan Teacher Certification - Elementary Education, ZG (preferred) or ZP endorsement
- Experience teaching elementary students (preferred)
- Knowledge in instructional practices for varied learning styles and individual student needs
- Ability to motivate and inspire elementary students
- Successful classroom management strategies and skills
- Ability to use technology to support instruction, assessment, and communication
- Ability to differentiate instruction
- Ability to teach subject content in an integrated manner
- Excellent organizational and communication skills (written, verbal, and listening skills)
- Demonstrates understanding of the Science of Reading and applies a comprehensive, evidence‑based approach to literacy and mathematics instruction
- Experience utilizing a variety of assessments to inform teaching
- Understanding of developmentally‑appropriate curriculum
- Knowledge of Multi‑Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) and Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS)
- Willingness and ability to contribute to a team‑based approach to planning and school‑wide initiatives
- Ability to be enthusiastic, flexible, and work cooperatively with students, parents, teachers, and administrators
- Willingness and commitment to participate in curriculum development, school improvement committees, and professional development opportunities
- Willingness and ability to maintain regular, reliable, and punctual attendance
- Ability to complete other duties as assigned
