Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology
Join our esteemed medical team as an Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology specialist and play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care within a comprehensive healthcare environment. This opportunity offers you the chance to work with a highly experienced endoscopy team, utilizing state-of-the-art equipment and procedures, including EGD, colonoscopy, ERCP/EUS, and more, in a well-established hospital setting. Required Skills:
- Valid Michigan medical license with unrestricted practice privileges
- Board certification or board eligibility in Gastroenterology
- Proven experience in performing advanced endoscopic procedures including EGD, colonoscopy, ERCP/EUS, PEG/PEJ tube placements, and pH studies
- Strong charting skills with the ability to complete documentation independently
- Ability to work independently without scribe assistance
- Excellent communication skills for patient follow-ups and coordination with nursing staff
- Familiarity with electronic health records such as Cerner, gGastro, or Athena
Skills:
- Experience with capsule endoscopy and hydrogen breath testing
- Skills in managing complex pathology cases
- Experience with hospital-based procedures and on-call duties
- Delivering care in a fast-paced endoscopy unit with multiple procedure rooms
Education and Experience:
- Medical degree (MD or DO)
- Residency and fellowship in Gastroenterology
- Minimum of 2 years of post-training clinical experience in a hospital or outpatient setting
- Proven track record of performing high-volume endoscopic procedures
- Availability for full coverage of scheduled dates, including orientation, day shifts, overnight calls, and weekend duty
- Commitment to timely credentialing and billing processes
- Must be capable of handling all procedural and documentation responsibilities independently
- Willingness to adhere to hospital protocols and participate in team communication
Hourly Pay Rate: $1.00
