Staff Accountant

Peninsula Fiber Network, LLC (PFN), a rapidly expanding fiber optic telecommunications company headquartered in Marquette Michigan, seeks a full-time Staff Accountant. This is an entry‑level position that works closely with all members of the accounting department including accounts receivable, accounts payable, billing, and payroll.

• Assist with data entry and maintenance of the general ledger.
• Support Accounts Receivable and customer account management.
• Process and post customer billing transactions.
• Assist with accounts payable and vendor payment processing.
• Maintain Continuing Property Records.
• Maintain inventory records and prepare monthly material summary.
• Assist in the preparation and distribution of monthly billing.
• Maintain Plant Under Construction records including monthly closing of work orders.
• Assist with monthly preparation of financial statements.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or related field required; experience or alternative degree may be considered in lieu of required education.
• Working knowledge of accounting principles; GAAP exposure a plus.
• Proficient in operating a personal computer and software applications.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of programs required.
• Experience with Telecommunications Industry a plus.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with customers, co‑workers and various business contacts in a professional and courteous manner.

Salary commensurate with experience, 401k retirement plan with company contribution, insurance including health, dental, vision, life, and short‑term disability, paid holidays, and paid time off.

The starting annual salary range for this position is $50,000 to $60,000 depending on qualifications.
