Pay Range

$18 USD to $23 USD

Description

Axia Women's Health, recognized as a Great Place to Work for a 4th year in a row, leads in improving women's health within a network of 400 providers across 150 centers. The Certified Medical Assistant professionally engages patients by assisting with patient care, recording critical patient information, and providing information so patients fully benefit from clinical services.

Hours

8‑hour shift between 6:45 am – 5:00 pm Monday–Friday with rotating Saturdays 6:45 am – 11:00 pm or until patients finished. May be on call for procedures on Sundays as needed.

Essential Functions
  • Adhere to OSHA guidelines and infection control protocols; prepare, clean, and set up exam/procedure rooms; maintain and run sterilizer per scheduled program.
  • Accompany patients to exam/procedure rooms and assist with walking transfers or dressing.
  • Maintain patient records by accurately recording medical history, vital signs, symptoms, complaints, and medications; scan lab or imaging reports into the EMR.
  • Perform venipuncture and collect specimens as needed.
  • Assist provider with various procedures and screenings.
  • Relay instructions and pertinent information to patients.
  • Complete formularies and requests to ensure accurate patient records and proper billing.
  • Adhere to patient confidentiality policies and HIPAA regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or GED; some college preferred.
  • Successful completion as a Medical Assistant (CMA, CCMA, RMA, or NCMAA) required.
  • CPR/BLS certification required.
  • Minimum 1 year of recent medical‑assistant experience in a medical facility or documented internship evidence.
  • OB/GYN or Women's Health experience preferred.
  • EMR experience beneficial.
