This position reports to the Global Fast Trak Leader and is part of the Cell Therapy Fast Trak team located in Marlborough, MA and will be an on‑site role with a two year term.

The Postdoctoral Scientist will play a key role in implementing automated, GMP‑ready cell therapy processes built on Cytiva platforms. This role blends hands‑on experimental work with process optimization, data generation, documentation, and close collaboration across teams to advance scalable, closed‑system manufacturing approaches. The position also supports global training programs and contributes to external scientific outreach.

• Execute and guide complex primary cell processing activities, including cell enrichment, activation, expansion, and gene modification, paired with thorough analytical assessment of resulting cell products.
• Drive lab‑based development of automated and scalable cell therapy processes, delivering experimental datasets that inform GMP‑aligned, closed‑system manufacturing solutions.
• Evaluate, adopt, and optimize digital and automation technologies to enhance workflow robustness, data quality, and overall operational efficiency in cell therapy development.
• Convert experimental findings into well‑structured technical outputs such as SOPs, protocols, and reports, while partnering with cross‑functional groups to ensure alignment with development priorities.
• Contribute to scientific training efforts, external technical interactions, and industry‑facing initiatives to strengthen organizational expertise and foster strategic collaborations.

• Ph.D. in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Immunology, Biomedical Sciences, or a related field, 1‑2 years of relevant experience.
• Hands‑on proficiency in immune cell culture and advanced analytical techniques such as flow cytometry, ddPCR, viral vector applications, and cell‑based assay development.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively train and engage internal stakeholders and external collaborators.
• Strong capability in project management and data interpretation, with a proven record of working productively within a collaborative, matrixed environment.

• Ability to travel domestically and internationally to customer sites, training locations, and scientific conferences as required.

• Background in cell therapy operations, translational research.
• Experience delivering technical training, engaging in customer interactions, or presenting scientific content to diverse audiences.
