PositionSummary
The Business Development Manager plays a key role in driving the growth of Thought For Food & Son by developing strategic relationships, generating qualified leads and closing new client engagements across digital marketing, packaging design, social media and brand development. This individual will represent the agency with professionalism, confidence and deep knowledge of our capabilities within the food and beverage industry.
Key Responsibilities- Identify, research and engage prospective food and beverage brands, manufacturers and trade clients aligned with agency expertise.
- Build and manage a consistent pipeline of qualified opportunities through outbound telephone outreach, networking and inbound leads.
- Develop compelling presentations, proposals and scopes of work in collaboration with creative and account teams.
- Nurture relationships through the full sales cycle — from introduction to signed agreement.
- Maintain detailed records of contacts, leads and opportunities in CRM.
- Collaborate with leadership to refine positioning, sales materials and lead‑generation strategies.
- Represent Thought For Food & Son at industry trade shows, conferences and networking events.
- Achieve and exceed quarterly and annual revenue goals.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or Business (preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in business development, marketing or agency sales.
- Demonstrated comfort with high‑volume outbound calling (75+ calls per day).
- Past experience in food marketing sales or working within the food industry is a strong plus.
- Strong understanding of branding, digital marketing and design services.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly organized, goal‑driven and self‑motivated.
- Comfortable with CRM platforms, lead‑tracking and outreach tools.
- A passion for the food industry and creative marketing.
