About the role:
Boston Scientific is seeking an experienced employment law attorney to join the Legal Department as Senior Legal Counsel.
The successful candidate will join a collegial and hard-working team of employment attorneys who work closely with Human Resources, Employee Relations, and Global Compliance to support the company’s various businesses and functions.
This position will be based in Arden Hills, MN or Marlborough,MA, andwill report to Director, Employment Law.
At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our Marlborough, MA or Arden Hills, MN office at least three days per week. Boston Scientific will not offer sponsorship or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position at this time. Relocation assistance is not available for this position at this time.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Review and provide counselregardingrestrictive covenants and employment agreements
- Communicate on behalf of company regarding restrictive covenants and employment agreements
- Provide legal advice and counsel to the business relating to employment issues, including hiring, termination, reductions in force, performance management, wage and hour, leaves and accommodations, and compliance with non-discrimination laws.
- Provide employment law support for due diligence and integration efforts relating to mergers and acquisitions
- Provide employment law support for Human Resources, Employee Relations, and Global Compliance investigations
- Respond on behalf of company to attorney demand letters and agency matters, including government-initiated inquiries and audits
- Partner with litigation counsel in employment litigation matters
- Draft separation agreements and negotiate with counsel as necessary
Required qualifications:
- Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school
- Admission to a state bar in good standing in all jurisdictions where admitted
- 7+ years of relevant legal experience
- Strong command of employment laws, regulations, and best practices
- Experience handling non-compete and other restrictive covenant matters
Preferred qualifications:
- Prior litigation experience
- Excellent written and verbal communications, client relationships, and business acumen
- Strong work ethic; creative, proactive, enthusiastic, flexible, self-directed, and highly ethical

Minimum Salary: $144200
Maximum Salary: $274000
The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) – see —will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs.
At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.
Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
