Job Summary:
The Security Project Manager oversees the planning, execution, and completion of security system projects globally. Responsibilities include coordinating with stakeholders, defining project scope, creating timelines, managing budgets, and ensuring the implementation of security solutions aligns with industry standards and client requirements. This role involves collaborating with technical teams, vendors, and manufacturers to deliver effective and reliable security systems, such as surveillance, access control, and alarm systems.
Effective communication, risk management, and problem‑solving skills are crucial for success in this role.
- Establish and maintain an in-depth knowledge of the security industry and relevant technology solutions.
- Define project scope, timelines, resources, and assess risks to ensure that security mitigation strategies are effectively implemented.
- Build positive relationships with key stakeholders, functional partners, and internal customers globally and across various cultures, regions, and roles.
- Effectively manage project teams ensuring good cross‑functional communication and provide feedback to functional managers on team and team member performance.
- Manage multiple simultaneous projects globally, initiate, plan, execute, and monitor all activities required for timely completion.
- Assist install teams with project completion, including programming, resource coordination, and testing/commissioning.
- Ensure Client’s policies, standards, and requirements are followed.
- Generate high‑level plans, communications, and schedules to assist with task prioritization and workload adjustments.
- Attend construction meetings when needed to help ensure that installations that are part of a new construction or renovation project go as planned.
- Assess project risks and implement risk response activities to effectively manage uncertainties.
- Delegate and manage tasks among team members as appropriate to drive execution of project deliverables and minimize risk.
- Troubleshoot project issues and engage appropriate management and resources as needed to mitigate impacts.
- Effectively present and communicate with internal and external personnel in various locations and through all levels of management.
- Lead phase and business reviews and document project meeting minutes, issue logs, decision logs, metrics, and other key communications.
- Complete closeout and go‑live to ensure requirements are met, UAT, and hand‑over processes are followed.
- Bachelor’s degree is required, with 6–8 years of experience. An MS‑related degree will require 4+ years of experience.
- Minimum 4 years of project management experience; security industry experience preferred and will move the candidate to the top of the list.
- Experience in security systems, surveillance, access control, and alarm systems.
- Effective communication skills are crucial for this role.
- Must have risk‑management and excellent problem‑solving skills.
- Must have excellent organizational skills and the ability to develop job processes and best practices.
- Ability to work flexible hours according to project requirements.
- Ability to effectively communicate virtually using cloud, chat, and video‑conferencing solutions to collaborate with project teams globally.
- Understanding of network connectivity and software configuration troubleshooting will also be necessary.
- High skill level to interpret blueprints and other project documents, including specifications, reporting, and quality requirements.
- Highly organized.
- Project management certification preferred — will move candidate to the top of the list.
- Experience in the security industry is highly preferred — will move candidate to the top of the list.
- Security system design or security system administration experience preferred.
- Factory certifications in relevant technology platforms (e.g., Lenel
S2, Milestone) is a plus.

08:00 AM – 04:30 PM (may flex for meetings as the position supports a global team). - Work setup:
Onsite in Marlborough, MA. - Contract length: 12 months (1/26/2026 – 1/25/2027) with possible extension.
