Collections Specialist

Description We are looking for a dedicated Collections Specialist to join our team in Marlboro, Massachusetts. In this role, you will focus on managing accounts and ensuring timely resolution of billing and payment issues. This is a long-term contract position offering the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic company within the waste management industry.

Responsibilities:

- Manage commercial accounts to ensure timely collection of outstanding balances.

- Communicate with clients professionally to resolve payment disputes and billing inquiries.

- Process and monitor billing transactions to maintain accurate records.

- Utilize Microsoft Excel to organize and analyze account data effectively.

- Collaborate with internal teams to address discrepancies and improve collection processes.

- Provide exceptional customer service to maintain positive relationships with clients.

- Identify trends in payment delays and propose actionable solutions.

- Prepare reports detailing collection activities and account statuses.

- Stay informed about company policies and industry regulations related to collections. Requirements - Proven experience in commercial collections, preferably within a similar industry.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.

- Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle disputes professionally.

- Solid understanding of billing and payment processes.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively.

- Familiarity with industry regulations and compliance standards.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
