Role Overview

We are seeking a hands‑on Process Development Chemist to drive the development, optimization, and scale‑up of advanced polymers and materials. This role is focused on translating laboratory chemistry into robust, manufacturing‑ready processes. The successful candidate will take ownership of reaction optimization, process robustness, and scale‑up activities while collaborating closely with Manufacturing and cross‑functional teams. Project priorities may evolve, and the candidate must be adaptable and capable of contributing across synthesis, analytical, and process domains as needed.

Key Responsibilities Process Development & Scale‑Up (Primary Focus)
  • Develop and optimize chemical processes for scalability and manufacturability
  • Define and control critical process parameters
  • Lead scale‑up activities from laboratory to pilot or production environments
  • Troubleshoot variability, yield loss, and impurity formation
  • Develop batch documentation and support technology transfer
  • Apply statistical tools and data‑driven methods to improve process robustness
  • Incorporate safety, quality, and operational considerations into process design
Synthetic Development
  • Design and execute polymer and/or organic synthesis
  • Optimize reactions for reproducibility and repeatability
  • Investigate structure–property relationships to support process decisions
Analytical & Technical Support
  • Utilize and conduct analytical techniques (GPC, NMR, HPLC/UPLC, LC/MS, FT‑IR, DSC/TGA, CVS, Titration) to characterize materials and monitor process performance
  • Conduct additional testing methods as required by evolving project needs
  • Provide technical insights to R&D, Applications, and Operations teams
Required Qualifications
  • Ph.D. or M.S. in Polymer Science, Organic Chemistry, Materials Science, or related field
  • Industrial experience in process development and chemical scale‑up
  • Strong hands‑on laboratory capability
  • Experience troubleshooting process variability and improving robustness
  • Ability to operate independently and take technical ownership
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with electrochemistry, electrochemical materials, and techniques.
  • Experience in electronic and semiconductor industry.

The Pay range for this role is $99,120.00 - $ Annual
