About the roleBoston Scientific is seeking a highly motivated Systems Engineer with experience in medical electrical systems to join our Systems Engineering team within the R&D Endoscopy division. This individual will support the design and development of a highly integrated platform, from development to commercialization, and will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of mechanical, electronics, optical, and software engineers. We are specifically seeking a systems thinker with an electronics background to support the integration of various sub-systems into the overall system.

Work Mode: At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring employees to be in our Marlborough, MA office at least three days per week.
Responsibilities- Fully participate in and successfully contribute to project teams as an individual contributor.
- Able to design and develop high level system architecture.
- Develop system and subsystem-level requirements.
- Work independently to plan and schedule activities necessary to meet timelines.
- Design and coordinate electromechanical/electrical engineering tests and experiments.
- Perform troubleshooting on systems related to design, interactions with other sub-systems, materials, or processes.
- Summarize, analyze, and draw conclusions from test results. Be able to run basic statistical models to analyze data.
- Prepare standard reports/documentation to communicate results to the technical community.
- Responsible for engineering documentation.
- Work cooperatively with outside vendors, quality, regulatory, clinical, and marketing teams to ensure project success.
- May lead project or sub-project activities.
- BS/MS in Biomedical, Electrical, or Systems Engineering. An Electrical Engineering background is strongly preferred.
- 6+ years of engineering experience with medical devices.
- Experience with troubleshooting medical electrical systems.
- Proven self-starter with a strong track record of technical leadership and the ability to work independently to plan, schedule, lead, and execute tasks necessary to meet project deadlines.
- Experience with systems architecture, design and development.
- Experienced in testing, system and subsystem requirements preparation, test method development, design verification, and validation.
- Hands-on approach to problem-solving.
- Medical device systems product development experience.
- Familiarity with systems verification/validation.
- An Electrical Engineering background is strongly preferred.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written).

Salary range: Minimum $86,600 — Maximum $164,500
The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs.
It is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.
Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time and an annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
