Overview

The Edwin Fox Ship is a fantastic piece of World heritage that has been lovingly preserved over the last 30 years. The ship now sits in a Picton dry dock for all to explore and enjoy. The ship is the last of her kind; the last surviving ship that took convicts to Australia, last wooden Crimea War troop carrier, one of the oldest merchant ships in the world, a pioneering refrigeration ship and the oldest wooden vessel that brought immigrants to New Zealand.

The Edwin Fox Maritime Museum is a leading Marlborough tourist attraction and unique learning experience.

As the Edwin Fox visitor host you will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service to all visitors and users of Edwin Fox Maritime Museum. This includes staying informed about exhibitions, museum events and general visitor information to engage and inform visitors, which can include leading museum tours as required.

• Deliver excellent customer service to all visitors and users of Edwin Fox Maritime Museum.
• Engage and inform visitors about exhibitions, museum events and general visitor information.
• Lead museum tours as required.

This is a part-time role working 9.00 am – 1.00 pm Saturdays and Sundays for Summer, 9.00 am – 12.00 pm Saturdays and Sundays for Winter, with additional hours as required.

• A wage range of $26.00 to $29.00 per hour (depends on knowledge, skills and experience).
