Job Description The Vacancy Marlborough College is one of the UK’s leading co-educational boarding schools, set within 286 acres of beautiful Wiltshire countryside.

We are seeking a skilled, safety-focused and proactive Electrician (Inspection & Testing) to join our highly respected Estates Team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced electrician to work within a diverse and historic estate, supporting a wide range of educational, residential, commercial and heritage buildings.

You will play a key role in ensuring the safety, compliance and reliability of electrical systems across the campus.

• Inspection and testing of new and existing electrical installations
• Producing accurate written reports, certificates and compliance documentation
• Supporting PAT testing across the College
• Fault finding and rectification work
• Responsive, cyclical and planned maintenance activities
• Installation of electrical services across teaching spaces, labs, offices, boarding houses and staff dwellings
• Maintenance and repair of kitchen and laundry equipment
• Assisting with fire alarms, intruder alarms, emergency lighting and access control systems
• Liaising with other trades and contributing to project delivery
• Participating in the emergency call-out rota
• Qualified Supervisor responsibilities in support of the College’s NICEIC registration

• City & Guilds Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Installation 18th Edition qualification
• Experience in inspection, testing, fault finding and electrical maintenance
• Strong awareness of workplace health & safety
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• A flexible, positive and proactive approach
• A full UK driving licence
• City & Guilds Inspection & Testing qualification (desirable)
• PAT Testing certification (desirable)
• Asbestos Awareness training (desirable)
• Experience working within estates, facilities, commercial or educational environments (desirable)
