Job Summary
The Entry to School (ETS) service will aim to support families with children ages 3 to 5 who are entering school for the first time. Children enrolled in ETS will receive six months of group programming focusing on building skills prior to their entry to school followed by six months of transition supports and individualized consultation. As an ETS service provider, Kinark will deliver ETS as part of the York Simcoe Autism Network (YSAN).

Kinark has recently introduced a new benefit that gives employees the opportunity to work their role in a hybrid or fully remote arrangement, as assessed for their position, for those who wish to opt‑in for this benefit. The role of Autism Consultant has been positionally assessed in the ‘Roamer Worker’ classification, defined as two (3) days minimum in person unless business demands require more (for a portion of the cohort, and in‑person 5 days a week for the balance of the cohort).

This is a temporary position with a contract length of 1 year.

Salary range: $34.96/hr CAD‑$43.24/hr CAD Compensation is negotiable and will be determined based on the successful candidate’s experience, skills, and qualifications.

Duties & Responsibilities (not limited to)

Provide expert Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) clinical and consultative support to school teams and families

Develop effective evidence-based practices for students with ASD in the educational environment

Deliver school readiness curriculum in group‑based settings

Conduct individualized parent and mediator coaching

Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary team to meet program outcomes

Develop resource materials and facilitate training opportunities for educators and caregivers

Complete behavioural assessments

Participate in treatment planning, program and report writing

Support the delivery of OAP services
