As we continue to expand, we’re looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Senior
Purchasing Specialist to join our team at our Markham head office.

As our Purchasing Specialist, you’ll play a key role in sourcing and managing our product assortment. Your responsibilities will include:

• Overseeing the full purchasing cycle for toys, games, collectibles, and specialty merchandise
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with vendors, distributors, and manufacturers
• Negotiating pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules to maximize profitability
• Monitoring inventory levels and sales trends to plan restocks and new product acquisitions
• Collaborating with merchandising and retail teams to ensure timely product distribution
• Reviewing purchase orders for accuracy and ensuring prompt processing
• Analyzing product performance and lifecycle to guide purchasing decisions
• Tracking shipments and resolving delivery or product discrepancies
• Researching emerging trends, products, and suppliers to expand our offerings
• Coordinating with accounting and warehouse teams on invoicing and receiving

• 4+ years of purchasing or buying experience, ideally in retail (experience with toys, collectibles, or pop culture products is a plus)
• Proficiency in Net Suite is required
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and inventory management systems
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and attention-to-detail capabilities
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
