Operate an automated Sakurai MS-102SD silkscreen printing press, perform all general maintenance on press, keep press and work area clean, handle core material, loading, unloading, and stacking. Mixing ink when required, ordering as well as inventorying all needed supplies, making screens (exposing, reclaiming, and stretching), and other duties as assigned. Maintain accurate auditing standards.
Responsibilities:- Operate the automated Sakurai MS-102SD silkscreen printing press in accordance with the standard operating procedure
- Function independently as well as have the ability to interact with the other members of the team
- Keep accurate records of required job data as well as all audit logs
- Optimize output of press by planning the shift and looking for opportunities to maximize output and minimize downtime
- Measure and monitor performance of all screen equipment
- Perform general maintenance on press
- Perform duties in accordance with all Health and Safety, Environmental, Security and Operational procedures
- Monitor consumption of consumables and requisition when necessary
- Loading, unloading, restacking, and accurate counting of core materials
- Aid in all maintenance and cleaning of all equipment and the printing work area in general
- Assist with the screen making as required
- Ability to use computers and knowledge of ERP systems e.g SAP
- Other duties as assigned
- Comply with G+D Environmental, Health & Safety policies, procedures and report any Environmental, Health & Safety hazards, incidents and concerns to the immediate supervisor/manager. Management will ensure employees are provided with job specific Environmental, Health & Safety information, training and also ensure employees follow workplace Health & Safety policies and procedures
Work Experience:
- 5 years of experience as Silkscreen Press Operator is required
- 5 years industry knowledge is preferred
Skills and Competencies:
- Ability to interpret and comprehend information from job specification sheets
- Attention to detail and willingness to take initiative
- Must be good with problem solving and ability to multi-task
- Self motivated team player with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure and meet all deadlines
- Ability to apply general common sense and courtesy
- Must be quality conscious and motivated
Education:
- High School Diploma is preferred
Working Conditions:
- Deal with changing workload and conditions
- Responsible to maintain confidentiality
- Safety shoes and smock required on production floor
- Physical bending and frequently lifting up to 20 lbs
- Requires recognition of colour correctness and alertness to details and instructions
- Power hand truck operation
