Responsibilities

  • Compute dimensions and tolerances of machine parts
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables
  • Maintain, repair and calibrate precision measuring instruments
  • Document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances
  • Maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports
  • Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers)
  • Verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments
Qualifications
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of relevant experience
  • Experience with measuring tools: micrometers, calipers, calibre, gauges, verniers
  • Computer and technology knowledge:
    Mastercam CAD/CAM; computer‑aided design (CAD)
  • Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, tight‑deadline environment
  • Excellent written and oral communication
  • Attention to detail, initiative, flexibility, ability to learn quickly and work as a team player
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift more than 45 kg (100 lb) and handle repetitive tasks
Work Setting
  • Work must be completed at the physical location; remote work is not permitted
  • Willingness to relocate; relocation costs not covered by the employer
  • General manufacturing environment
Security & Safety
  • Drug test required
  • Use of safety equipment/gear: steel‑toed safety boots, safety glasses/goggles, face shield, gloves, hard hat
  • Own tools/equipment may be required
