Edmonton North Hatchery

• Hourly rate:
  Per CBA.
• Shifts:
  
  Will vary

• Accountable to safely and efficiently perform duties to prepare and deliver quality poultry products to our customers.
• Accountable to ensure a safe work environment for co-workers, customers, and visitors.
• Duties related to swamping and picking up birds.
• Performs other duties as required.

• Must have a valid Alberta Class 1 Drivers’ License, with air brakes required for tractor-trailer units.
• Must pass be able to pass Road Test (will be sent to third party for testing)
• Must be physically fit and able to roll tarps up and down during summer as well as in winter
• Provide and maintain a clean 5-year commercial drivers abstract.
• Minimum of two (2) years driving experience.
• Ability to communicate in English both verbally and in writing.
• Responsible for compliance to Health and Safety, Good Manufacturing Practices, Food Safety and Environmental Standards at all times.

Physical Effort: Most of the time is spent sitting or standing in the same location. A regular need to stop or move/lift light material or equipment.

Physical Environment: Regular exposure to factors causing moderate discomfort. Slight possibility of accident or illness.

Sensory Attention: Occasional need to give close attention, either hearing or seeing to what is happening.

Mental Stress: Work and environment tend to be repetitious/ unchanging. Some pressure from deadlines, production quotas, accuracy or similar demands. There could be some mildly unpleasant social contacts and/or some concern about possible unpleasant situations.
