Job Summary:
To provide the day-to-day general cleaning of the following facilities, washrooms, locker rooms, office, cafeterias, boardrooms and Executive offices.
Responsibilities:
Clean offices, washrooms, locker rooms, office, cafeterias, boardrooms and Executive officesVacuum, clean: toilets, sinks, countertops and tables, restock supplies, wash and dry mop floors and dust officesRemove garbage, cardboard, and secure paper recyclingRestock supplies in lunchrooms and servery – cups, creamers, napkins, coffee, sugar, and teaClean glass doors and turnstiles as requiredReport any environmental or health and safety issues when requiredComplete additional daily tasks as assigned by Supervisor or designateClean plant when requiredEscort visitors when requiredProvide backup for vacations of other Facility StaffPerform work with a strong bias for team effort at all timesMaintain a high degree of flexibility and be approachableAdditional responsibilities may include as needed:“Smock Duty” – Northern Uniform – File, record, and follow up ordered smocks for new hires, existing, and exiting employees on a weekly basisPoint of contact for Northern Uniform Review invoices received from Northern Uniform for correctness and forward to Accounts payable for payment
Order kitchen and cleaning supplies
Comply with G+D Environmental, Health & Safety policies, procedures and report any Environmental, Health & Safety hazards, incidents and concerns to the immediate supervisor/manager. Management will ensure employees are provided with job specific Environmental, Health & Safety information, training and also ensure employees follow workplace Health & Safety policies and procedures.Qualifications, Experience and Educational Requirements
Minimum of 2 years cleaning experience preferredSkills and
Competencies:
Able to interpret and comprehend information and directionAble to multi-task and be organizedGood oral and written skillsAble to apply general common sense and courtesyEducation:
High School Diploma is preferredWorking Conditions:
Position requires cleaner to rotate shifts and to work overtime when requiredOther duties as assignedCope with an ongoing variety of workloads and conditionsRespond to all intercom pages within 5 minutesExposure to sensitive material, must maintain confidentialityMaintain a positive attitudeMust be able to work independently with minimal supervisionExposure to heat and cold requiredWork indoors and outdoors is a requirement in all weather conditionsSmock uniform required on the production floorPhysical Requirements:
May be required to lift/push up to 50 lbsStand/walk for extended period
