Technical Lead, IT​/Tech, Cloud Computing

This role owns the technical performance, stability, and evolution of a high-revenue Magento B2B platform. The Technical Lead is hands-on, deeply technical, and accountable for ensuring the platform is secure, scalable, and built to support business growth.

You’ll sit at the intersection of technology, marketing, and operations—translating business needs into practical, production-ready solutions while actively contributing to development and delivery.

Key Responsibilities
Magento Platform Ownership (Primary Focus)

Own the technical health of a revenue-critical Magento (Adobe Commerce) B2B environment

Lead architecture decisions, enhancements, and integrations

Ensure uptime, performance, scalability, and reliability

Actively develop and review Magento code—not just oversee it

Hands-On Development & Delivery

Translate business and UX requirements into technical solutions

Lead features from design through deployment

Contribute directly to development alongside internal teams and agencies

Own QA, release readiness, and post-deployment validation

Manage backlog, sprint planning, and releases (Agile environment)

Integrations & Ecosystem

Oversee integrations across eCommerce, ERP, CRM, and marketing platforms

Ensure clean, secure, and scalable data flows

Reduce technical risk and long-term platform debt

Security, Stability & Risk

Enforce secure development practices

Partner on audits, compliance, and incident response

Own technical issue resolution and root-cause analysis

Vendor & Cost Management

Manage and evaluate external developers and agencies

Review code quality, architecture, and delivery standards

Reduce vendor dependency through knowledge transfer and documentation

Stakeholder Collaboration

Serve as the main technical point of contact for business and marketing leaders

Clearly communicate risks, trade-offs, and technical constraints

Support leadership decisions with practical technical insight

Key Qualifications

7+ years in web or digital platform engineering

Deep, hands-on Magento (Adobe Commerce) experience in a B2B environment

Proven experience developing—not just managing—Magento platforms

Strong backend skills: PHP, MySQL, APIs (REST/Graph

QL), Elasticsearch

Frontend experience:
JavaScript, HTML, CSS (Magento theming experience required)

Experience leading technical delivery for revenue-critical platforms

Strong understanding of performance, security, and scalability

Experience working with external agencies and vendors

Agile delivery experience (Jira or similar)

Nice to Have

Shopify Plus / Headless experience

CI/CD and Dev Ops exposure

Cloud hosting experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

Adobe Commerce or Shopify certifications
