Enterprise Business Architect – Digital Transformation

Our client is seeking a Technical Product Manager focused on their digital transformation to improve serving their end customers.
Duration: 6 months + extension option
Location:
4d/week Markham
- Lead enterprise-wide digital transformation initiatives impacting customer experience, operations, and technology platforms
- Define and drive the target operating model aligned to strategic business objectives
- Conduct current-state assessments across processes, systems, data, and organizational structures
- Design future-state business architecture, including capabilities, value streams, and governance models
- Influence prioritization, sequencing, and investment decisions at the executive level
- Personally lead deep-dive analysis including process mapping, value stream mapping, and capability modeling
- Facilitate cross-functional workshops to identify pain points, bottlenecks, and structural inefficiencies
- Translate complex business problems into structured, data-driven recommendations
- Develop business cases, impact assessments, and measurable value realization frameworks
- Perform SQL-based or data-driven analysis where required to validate hypotheses and quantify improvement opportunities
- Drive cross-functional alignment across business, technology, operations, and customer-facing teams
- Act as a senior advisor to executive stakeholders on transformation strategy and execution risk
- Identify organizational, cultural, and process barriers to change and proactively mitigate them
- Lead transformation communications and influence senior leaders to adopt new operating models
- Ensure regulatory, security, and operational requirements are embedded into solution design
- Establish KPIs and success metrics to measure transformation impact
- Lead value stream optimization initiatives to improve cycle time, throughput, and predictability
- Monitor delivery performance and adjust roadmap priorities to maximize business outcomes
- Bridge strategy to execution, ensuring transformation initiatives translate into sustainable operational improvements
- 10+ years of experience in Business Architecture, Enterprise Transformation, Product Strategy, or Operational Excellence roles within complex enterprise environments
- Proven experience leading large-scale digital or operational transformation initiatives across multiple business units
- Demonstrated expertise in business capability modeling, value stream mapping, and target operating model design
- Strong hands-on experience conducting process analysis, business case development, and impact assessments
- Ability to personally perform deep analytical work rather than delegating to junior analysts
- Experience influencing executive stakeholders and driving funding, prioritization, and portfolio decisions
- Strong understanding of Agile, Lean, and enterprise delivery frameworks
- Working knowledge of data analysis tools (SQL or similar) to support solution validation and issue investigation
- Experience operating in regulated environments (financial services, insurance, utilities, telecom, manufacturing, etc.) is an asset
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate complex enterprise challenges into structured, actionable roadmaps
- Consulting background (Big 4 or major consulting firm) or prior enterprise transformation leadership experience is strongly preferred
