Lab Technician - Intermediate

100% Onsite Role

• Thorough and methodical and knows when to think outside of the box.
• Ability to work independently and multi-task in a dynamic environment based on engineering team needs.
• Strong written and verbal communication skill sets. Proficiency in English, both spoken and written is required.
• Strong interpersonal skills especially dealing with engineering customers

• Associate degree or better in engineering technology or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to problem solve and debug electronics issues
• 3+ years related experience.
• Familiarity with Server, Workstation and PC setup and configurations
• Excellent communication skills.
• Expert soldering skills.
• Windows and Linux OS installation, setup and configuration.
• Knowledge of Python scripting.
• Knowledge of Networking, PC GFX or other similar applications.
• Knowledge and familiar on use and setup of protocol analyzers, logic analyzers, and oscilloscopes.
• Background in hardware electronics and hardware troubleshooting.

• Assist/support engineering team in debug of hw/sw/fw issues
• Assemble, configure, and maintain customer platforms and AMD reference boards/platforms (e.g. OS installation, driver installation etc.)
• Create, follow, and improve setup and configuration documentation (or as per instructed by engineering team)
• Configure/utilize test equipment as needed (e.g. scopes, logic analyzers, protocol analyzers, etc.)
• Perform generic/common platform/board repairs as needed (for system to boot and/or installation of test points for probing)
• Perform tests on boards/platforms as needed/requested by engineering team (e.g. GFX performance tests)
• Organize site inventories, such as ordering of equipment and/or peripherals needed by the team.
• Handle logistics, such as receiving of incoming platform/equipment and shipping of such platform/equipment to other sites.
