Position: SEO Content Specialist

Location: Markham, Ontario (4 days in the office)

At Pacific Smoke International, our mission is to help people quit smoking by providing safer alternatives to traditional cigarettes. As the leading distributor of electronic vaporizers and award‑winning vaping products in Canada, we've made significant progress since our founding in 2013.

Job Responsibilities

As an SEO Content Specialist
, you will be responsible for creating compelling and optimized content that drives traffic, increases engagement, and supports our business objectives. You will collaborate closely with marketing teams to develop product descriptions, promotional materials, and email campaigns while ensuring content aligns to increasing sales and leads.

Key Responsibilities
  • Content Development:
    Create persuasive product and collection descriptions showcasing key features and selling points for packaging, internal sales communications, and customer-facing marketing materials, while adhering to brand voice.
  • Email Marketing:
    Plan and execute B2B and B2C email campaigns while managing content calendars and configuring email platforms, forms, surveys with automation workflows. Segment audiences and create content that drives new leads and sales by understanding our customers’ personas and needs.
  • SEO & Paid Ads:
    Research trending topics, and write highly engaging on-page and off-page content; collaborate with the Digital Team and external agencies to conduct content audits, refine keyword-driven copy, and analyze site to generate B2B & B2C sales and sales-qualified leads.
  • Analytics & Tracking:
    Manage connections between our websites (Magento and Shopify) with Google Analytics, Tag Manager, Ahrefs to monitor user journeys, identify drop-off points, and uncover opportunities to optimize content performance.
  • Additional Duties:
    Support other ad hoc projects and tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in content creation, with a strong focus on SEO best practices.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Familiarity with email marketing platforms (e.g., Klaviyo, Dot Digital, Hubspot) and email campaign management.
  • Knowledge of B2B email marketing strategies and customer engagement.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging SEO trends, including AI-powered search and long-tail search optimization.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, design, and external agencies.
  • Strong analytical skills to measure content and email campaign effectiveness.
  • Familiarity with SEO tools like Google Analytics, Tag Manager, Ahrefs, SEMrush, or similar platforms.
