Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Senior Financial Analyst will process and analyze financial data, drive financial performance, and ensure compliance with government funding regulations.

This position is based at our Head Office in Markham, Ontario and offers a hybrid working environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute period-end close activities such as accruals, deferrals, and prepaids.
  • Perform variance analysis to budget, forecast, and prior year and prepare period-end reports.
  • Complete balance reconciliations and provide commentary on balance sheet variances.
  • Business partner with Operations to drive costs down and maximize funding opportunities.
  • Ensure timely submission of required government and regulatory reporting.
  • Identify and work with manager to improve accounting and financial reporting initiatives.
  • Support the annual budget process.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Accounting.
  • 3-5 years of experience in operations finance and/or accounting roles.
  • CPA certification.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to multitask in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational, computer, and analytical skills; advanced Excel knowledge.
  • Accounting experience with large-scale Enterprise Reporting systems;
    Workday knowledge preferred.
