Senior Tax Consultant

We are pipelining candidates for a Corporate Tax Consultant role. This is a critical role designed to bring tax functions in-house, moving from a reactive to a proactive tax strategy. You will oversee Canadian tax compliance, transfer pricing, and risk control while collaborating with international stakeholders.

Markham, ON (Hybrid 4 days on site)

12–18 Month Contract

• Tax Compliance: Manage and execute corporate tax filings, including tax provisions and accounting.
• Indirect Tax: Oversee sales tax (GST/HST) preparation, filing, and reporting.
• Advisory: Lead efforts in transfer pricing and tax risk control to ensure global compliance across Canada, the US, and Mexico.
• Reporting: Prepare necessary schedules (T2, T3, T5) and coordinate with external firms for final audit and preparation.
• Strategic Growth: Act as the internal subject matter expert, streamlining tax processes as the role evolves toward a permanent position.

• Experience: 3–5+ years of specialized experience in corporate tax (Canadian tax focus is essential).

  Proven expertise in T2 preparation, tax provisions, and GST/HST filings. Experience with transfer pricing is highly desirable.
• Communication: Exceptional English communication skills are required to collaborate with local leadership and international headquarters.
• Education: CPA designation or equivalent professional tax accreditation.
