Deliver exceptional service to BMO customers and prospects by identifying needs and providing advice on financial solutions that best serve their interests. Collaborate with BMO partners within the branch and across channels to deliver a seamless customer experience and meet business objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with BMO partners to identify referral opportunities that grow the customer’s relationship beyond personal banking.
  • Welcome and guide customers, offering advice on digital and self‑serve options to make banking easy, simple, and fast.
  • Act as a lobby leader, assisting client conversations about banking services and recommending alternative channels and personal banking advice.
  • Meet customer transaction‑based needs with seamless execution.
  • Review customer profiles and engage in needs‑based conversations to identify opportunities for everyday banking plans and credit card needs.
  • Contribute to meeting branch business results and overall customer experience.
  • Support operational activities such as inventory management, escalated service requests, application follow‑ups, filing, opening and closing activities.
  • Serve as a key member of a collaborative branch and market team.
  • Probe to understand customer personal banking and credit card needs and integrate marketing promotions into conversations for strategic advice.
  • Organize work information to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Find creative approaches that personalize each customer’s experience.
  • Identify ways to improve the overall customer experience.
  • Possibly work at multiple branches or channels; schedule may vary by week.
  • Follow risk and compliance processes to safeguard assets, maintain privacy, and act in customers’ best interests.
  • Stay current with the financial services marketplace, legal and regulatory environment, and uphold the highest ethical standards.
  • Maintain knowledge of personal banking products, practices, and trends to integrate into conversations.
  • Identify and report suspicious activity related to money laundering.
  • Comply with legal and regulatory requirements for the jurisdiction.
  • Protect the bank’s assets in accordance with all regulatory, legal, and ethical mandates.
  • Complete complex and diverse tasks within given rules and limits.
  • Analyze issues, determine next steps, and escalatie as needed.
  • Accept additional work or accountabilities as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Typically 1–2 years of relevant experience and/or certification in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Canada only:
    Registration to sell investment products completed or in progress (must be completed within 12 months).
  • Confidence and experience with social media, tablets, smartphones, online tools, and applications.
  • Some experience in consultative customer service or sales, with a drive to deliver a personal customer experience.
  • Basic knowledge of specialized sales and business banking solutions for referral to specialists.
  • Passionate commitment to helping customers.

Salary: $36,000.00 – $54,500.00
