Job Summary:

We are seeking a compliance professional with strong financial market (treasury) knowledge to join our team. This role focuses on 1st Line of Defense (1

LOD) responsibilities including transaction monitoring, trading agreement management (ISDA/CSA), operational risk, and regulatory coordination. The ideal candidate will bring experience across compliance, legal, and financial operations to support a dynamic and risk‑aware environment.

What You Will Do:

• Oversee day‑to‑day 1st line compliance and risk monitoring for financial market activities
• Implement and monitor controls for operational, market, credit, and compliance risks
• Coordinate and support the negotiation and execution of trading agreements (ISDA, CSA, etc.)
• Align with Head Office requirements, risk management, and internal audit reviews
• Drive development and updates of policies, procedures, and workflows
• Analyze financial data for business performance and risk insights
• Collaborate across teams to uphold regulatory compliance and operational excellence
• Supervise junior team members, and ensure continuous process improvement
• Support internal control documentation and departmental reporting
• Act as a key liaison with 2nd line and middle office

What You Bring to the Table:

• 5+ years in banking or capital markets, ideally in compliance, legal documentation, or 1
  
  LOD roles
• Direct experience with ISDA, CSA, and other derivative or trading agreements
• Strong understanding of risk categories in a commercial banking or treasury environment
• Knowledge of Canadian regulatory environment and market conduct rules
• Solid educational background in Finance, Law, Economics, or Accounting
• Designations such as CPA, FRM, or legal credentials are preferred
• Proficiency in English is required;
  Mandarin is an asset
• Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills
