The RoleBe part of the world’s leading graphics and AI accelerator team developing diagnostics applications for the functional and behavior verification of state-of-the-art graphics accelerators. This role involves technical leadership in designing, implementing, and deploying world-class AI and graphics workloads. The candidate will partner with hardware architecture, silicon design, and manufacturing to ensure product/execution excellence from pre-silicon through customer deployment.
Responsibilities- Be part of the world’s leading graphics and AI accelerator team developing diagnostics applications for functional and behavior verification of state-of-the-art graphics accelerators. Lead design, implementation, and deployment of AI and graphics workloads, and collaborate with hardware architecture, silicon design, and manufacturing to ensure execution excellence from pre-silicon through customer deployment.
- Define the long-term roadmap for GPU performance testing, feature testing, and manufacturing testing for both pre-silicon and post-silicon verification.
- Lead a team to execute on AMD’s roadmap projects, delivering on-time diagnostic tests, performing risk assessments, and creating action plans to meet customer needs.
- Design and architect advanced diagnostics to detect, localize, and triage GPU defects or performance bottlenecks.
- Lead initiatives to integrate customer application layers (e.g., ROCm, OpenCL, Vulkan) into the diagnostics development pipeline, ensuring compatibility and enhanced GPU testing.
- Oversee and provide development support to team members, encourage work on high-visibility projects, and collaborate with DFx, Performance, Manufacturing, and Validation teams to improve coverage, yield, and field reliability.
- Create comprehensive updates for upper levels of management, clearly articulating areas of excellence and improvement.
- Significant technical experience with proven leadership in managing teams of varying sizes.
- Experience in New Product Introduction (NPI) phases for semiconductor programs in pre-silicon and post-silicon contexts.
- Excellence in planning schedules, resources, and dependencies.
- Experience collaborating with Engineers, Program/Project Managers, and Executives across multiple organizations to align on common solutions.
- Deep understanding of GFX and compute architectures with the ability to design and implement diagnostic and test cases that maximize coverage and proactively identify silicon issues.
- Expert in Modern C++ (C++17 and beyond).
- Experience developing tools around test infrastructure automation and HW design for easier triage and debugging.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation languages (e.g., Python, Bash, Csh).
- Linux and Windows shell environments.
- Understanding of AI/ML principles with some experience applying LLM and ML models in applications.
- Experience working in a Dev Ops environment (e.g., Git Hub, CI/CD pipelines).
- Excellent problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
