THE ROLE:

AMD seeks a passionate, collaborative leader with strong technical skills and the initiative to motivate an expert team. In this role you will be given an opportunity to work on the next generation technology that will be part of future AMD Microprocessors powering Servers and Personal Computers as well as Graphics Cards and VR sets. The FEINT/Implementation team is responsible for Synthesis, place & Route, Timing closure/CDC/LINT/DFx for very high speed (2G) design with complex I/O clocking.

THE PERSON:
The ideal candidate has experience leading others in technical and managerial settings. You also have excellent communication, writing, and presentation skills. As a Front integration & Physical Design Manager, you will lead a mid-size team of front-end integration and physical design engineers. You will work with a diverse team – architects, RTL design engineers, SoC design teams & managers from IP team.

You will drive physical implementation of IP through the entire physical design flow, starting from Synthesis, constraint development, to achieve best PPA, while shortening the overall development schedule. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

A strong leader with experience working with a distributed team Strong mentoring and coaching skills Proven experience managing and leading engineering teams Prior experience in optimizing performance (client, server, system, or embedded) Strong front end integration and physical design background Strong communications skills. Able to summarize complex problems for executives as well as drill down to details with architects and engineers Strong analytic and problem-solving skills including the ability to analyze current behavior, identify potential areas for improvement and design of experiments Must be a self-starter and self-motivated Prior experience Managing technical teams in areas of CDC/RDC, STA Constraints Development, LINT & DFT, IP, Synthesis & Physical Design Scripting in TCL, Python ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
Bachelors or Masters degree in computer engineering/Electrical Engineering
