Project Associate, Building Restoration – Montreal
A leading Canadian engineering firm recognized for its excellence in building restoration and multidisciplinary consulting, is seeking a Building Engineer to join their Building Restoration Consulting Team. With a team of over 130 professionals across Canada, the firm delivers a wide range of services, including restoration, capital planning, structural, mechanical, building envelope, accessibility, and energy optimization for buildings of all types.

We are looking for a Project Associate for Building Restoration Consulting in Montreal to assist in client relations and project delivery, represent company and offer available services, at a high level of client interaction and commitment.

Responsibilities include;
  • Providing consulting services for building restoration projects
  • Assisting with building assessments and evaluations;
  • Preparing depreciation reports, whole property/building condition assessments, and warranty reviews;
  • Assisting with warranty resolution services; writing project specifications and tendering work to contractors;
  • Site review of work being completed and investigating problems;
  • Project coordination;
  • Communication with clients, contractors, and other consultants;
  • Preparing evaluation reports, construction documents, and project proposals.
  • Role Requirements:
  • A graduate from an applicable engineering or architectural program at an accredited university or college
  • 1 to 4 years of direct experience in building science related to new and/or existing buildings
  • Familiarity with Part 4 of the Building Code, CSA A23.3, CSA 086, and CSA S16
  • Strong time management skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proficient with Word, Excel, Outlook
  • A valid driver's license and access to a car
