Job Description:The System Validation Engineer will play a key role in the design, validation, and integration of client UFS IP and system-level components throughout the entire product lifecycle—from pre-silicon and emulation through post-silicon and software integration.This role involves technical leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and hands-on validation, ensuring high-quality deliverables and excellent customer experiences.Responsibilities:Participate in system design development across all product lifecycle stages including pre-silicon, emulation, and post-silicon validation.Lead technical presentations demonstrating expertise in hardware architecture and system design.Collaborate with design, software, tools, and validation teams to define testing and debug methodologies.Work with program leadership to plan validation activities, identify risks, and address issues proactively.Provide leadership and mentorship to the operations team; lead by example with a hands-on approach.Isolate and debug issues found in southbridge and peripherals during pre-silicon, bring-up, validation, and production phases.Foster a team culture focused on knowledge sharing, technical excellence, and collaboration.Define and execute validation strategies, enable features, and develop unit test plans.Publish and align test plan requirements, deliverables, and dependencies.Work closely with design, diagnostics, software/firmware/BIOS/driver, and project leadership teams.Lead cross-functional technical discussions to identify and resolve complex technical issues.Drive technical innovations, including tool and script development, to enhance validation capabilities.Requirement/Must Have:Strong knowledge of UFS standard and architecture (encryption technology preferred).In-depth understanding of SoC architecture, southbridge technology, and system peripherals (PCIe, NVMe, USB, I2C, UFS, SATA, SPI, UART).Experience with FPGA and hardware emulation platforms for pre-silicon debug.Good understanding of BIOS, OS (Windows/Linux), and driver-level interactions.Strong understanding of boot flows and sequences.Proficiency in using UFS analyzers/exercisers, lab equipment, and computer networks.Proven experience leading process improvement initiatives.Strong technical leadership and mentoring abilities.Knowledge of standard power management features and use cases.Preferred:3–6 years of experience in pre and post-silicon validation and 4–8 years in the semiconductor industry.Experience with IP/system-level bring-up and SoC debug methodologies.Proficiency in hardware description languages (Verilog).Strong programming and scripting skills (Python, C/C++, Ruby).Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks independently.Demonstrated ability to grasp new technical concepts quickly.Qualification And
Education:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field preferred.
