Overview

The Drawing & Occupancy Technologist II provides support to the team to meet project deliverables, support transition of new accounts and provides reporting and analysis. Responsibilities include creation and maintenance of drawings (architectural, structural, electrical and mechanical) and support of occupancy tools for client base. The role focuses on executing reporting, updating day-to-day client requests and working with limited supervision, with the ability to take on responsibility for specific projects or tasks.

This role is responsible for mentoring and coaching as required.

• Completes updates of day-to-day client requests and deliverables reflecting additions and changes of onsite conditions; ensures input accuracy by verification with other personnel or field visits; supports project management, space management, move management, asset tracking and maintenance management as required by contract deliverables.
• Develops and completes drawings as per occupancy policies and procedures; sustains filing and drawing management protocols.
• Supports site audit program by auditing and implementing changes.
• Ensures internal escalation of issues or potential risks are raised to Team Lead where required.
• Develops internal relationships and ensures appropriate communications/support is maintained; provides ongoing training and support for other team members, clients and global initiatives.

• Works to meet project commitments related to time constraints on deliverables and quality expectations (KPI's).
• Seeks continuous improvement opportunities that improve efficiency, benefit clients and other team members; keeps abreast of technology changes and training requirements related to the role.
• Demonstrates effective and proactive communication and continuous improvement activities with internal/external stakeholders to ensure client satisfaction and Brookfield Global Integrated Solutions success.

• Minimum education:
  
  College Diploma - Technician (architectural, structural, electrical, or mechanical).
• 3-5 years of demonstrated experience.
• Knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of the field of specialization.
• Possesses and applies comprehensive knowledge of the field to the completion, overview, and management of complex assignments.
• Demonstrated ability to work with CAD drawings and integrate with other facility management software.
• Demonstrated software or programming skills in AutoCAD 2010.
• Knowledge of Revit &/or Microstation preferred.
• Strong comprehension of industry standards, details and specifications.
• Software proficiencies related to the assignment – MS Excel, Project, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc., with ability to quickly learn new applications.
• Effective interpersonal skills, especially communication (verbal/written).
• Planning and organizing skills.
• Effective analytical and problem solving skills.
• Proactive and self-driven.
• Strong organizational, documentation and training skills.

• Driver’s License
• Autodesk, BOMA certifications would be considered an asset

This is a regular, full-time position with a salary range of $52,864 - $66,080 per annum. The starting salary will be based on the successful candidate’s competencies, including but not limited to experience, education, professional designations and performance related to this role.
