Bilingual Customer Service Representative – Markham, ON

Base pay range: CA $28.00/hr – CA $31.00/hr

Job is a 1‑year temporary hire with potential extension.

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5pm (no evenings or weekends). Hybrid model: 2 days remote, 3 days in‑office.

Responsibilities
  • Respond to varied volumes of incoming calls in a professional and diligent manner, in both English and French.
  • Answer questions, inquiries and deal with problems/issues in a positive and time‑sensitive way.
  • Process customer orders in an order entry system; assist customers in walking through online order steps/processes where applicable.
  • Respond to email inquiries, chat and orders in both English and French.
  • Build and maintain customer relationships to ensure continued business partnerships, retention and growth.
  • Clientele includes business professionals, consumers and retailers.
  • This is NOT a SALES position.
Qualifications
  • At least 2‑3 years experience in a customer service position, ideally call center or corporate setting with high volumes.
  • Bilingual (French/English) – written and spoken in both official languages is a must.
  • Related post‑secondary education or relevant work‑related experience (asset for pharmaceutical, medical device or general medical industry experience).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; fit is key in a smaller team setting.
  • Ability to control multiple priorities, work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong MS Office skills; experience in SAP or other order management tools is a strong asset.

Client offers hybrid work model, positive work culture, free parking or near a YRT stop, hourly pay rate of $28‑31/hr + vacation pay and options of benefits after 600 hours and more.
