Responsible for the supervision and coaching of our Broker Billing teams (Personal and Commercial Lines) to ensure customer and broker expectations are exceeded. Managers are expected to sit in the work to understand how the current systems work and drive out failure demand. The position is also responsible for conflict resolution, performance management, and for coaching to our principles that are aligned with our customer purpose.
The successful candidate will have strong people leadership and engagement skills, proven execution capability, initiative, creativity and demonstrate a strategic mindset.
- Facilitate an environment where front line staff feel empowered to make decisions and are encouraged to Create Legacy by going above and beyond for our customers and brokers.
- Effectively coaching the team to complete monthly account reconciliations and building strong broker and internal relationships.
- Ensure the timely escalation of discrepancies, with a high focus on late payments and appropriate action for collection.
- Work to remove waste from our system so the team can focus on the right things.
- Engage the team in embedding our culture and values.
- Build strong relationships and collaborate with our Broker partners and Business Development Specialists, Branch managers, Senior Leaders and Underwriting teams.
- University Degree (or equivalent relevant working experience)
- Accounting qualification desirable
- 5+ years’ experience in an accounting role desirable
- Experience in a leadership role desirable
- Strong leadership/coaching capabilities
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong customer service background
- Strong problem solving skills
- Strong analytical skills
- The salary band for this position ranges from $70,000 to $85,000. Please note that individual salary is determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experience, as well as internal equity.
