Senior Accountant

Job Summary

As a key member of the Finance department, reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Senior Accountant will perform complex accounting tasks, build collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and provide professional financial assistance aligned with organizational priorities.

• Conduct day‑to‑day accounting activities and general ledger account reconciliations to support ongoing internal and external reporting requirements, including month‑end journal entries.
• Maintain the Fixed Asset module and forecast fixed asset continuity schedules and depreciation.
• Maintain the lease accounting module.
• Prepare monthly accounting packages for the HQ finance team.
• Prepare quarterly related‑party transaction reports.
• Communicate with internal stakeholders to ensure company policies and procedures are adhered to.

• 3–5 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Post‑secondary bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business.
• Possess or be in pursuit of a Canadian professional accounting designation (CPA) preferred.
• Experience with complex ERPs, particularly SAP, considered an asset.
• Proven skills in financial statement preparation, analysis, and reporting, including understanding of Canadian GAAP.
• Advanced computer skills and extensive Excel experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Experience working in a team‑oriented, collaborative environment.
• Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and handle a high volume of work.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Sense of initiative and accountability, with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
