Job Description SummaryProvides general nursing care to patients and families throughout the continuum of care in diverse, acute health care settings. The department operates 24/7/365. The RN is accountable for the practice of nursing as defined by the Ohio Board of Nursing and delegates nursing tasks to licensed practical nurses (LPNs) and unlicensed assistive personnel (UAPs) according to the Ohio Nurse Practice Act.
The RN provides professional nursing care services to patients, responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for assigned patients.
- Assessment/Diagnosis – Performs initial, ongoing, and functional health status assessment as applicable (30%).
- Outcomes Identification/Planning – Documents planned nursing interventions to achieve outcomes based on diagnoses and collaborative problems (30%).
- Implementation/Evaluation – Evaluates and documents response to interventions and achieves outcomes, revising plan of care as needed (20%).
- Leadership – Participates in process improvement activities to achieve quality, customer satisfaction, and financial performance targets (10%).
- Operations – Performs operational duties (10%).
As a High Reliability Organization (HRO), responsibilities focus on safety, quality and efficiency.
Minimum Qualifications- Current Registered Nurse license from the State of Ohio and/or in good standing with a multi-state compact.
- BLS certification.
- BSN required after 5 years of employment.
